Dr. Mariam Awada began her academic journey as a Presidential Scholar at Wayne State University School of Science, earning a double major in Chemistry and Biology. She then attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, graduating at the top of her class of 250 physicians with Distinction and induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society—recognizing her exceptional skill and commitment to excellence.Dr. Awada completed an integrated General and Plastic Surgery Residency at the internationally renowned University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, training alongside many of the world’s leading plastic surgeons. There, she mastered time-tested techniques while contributing to the development of innovative, cutting-edge procedures.As an educator, she has served as a Clinical Instructor of Plastic Surgery, training future surgeons, and as an Assistant Residency Director.
